LINDSAY H. FOWLER

Lindsay H. Fowler was born in Charleston, West Virginia. She received her B.A. in 1998 and her J.D. in 2001, both from West Virginia University. She initially clerked for the Honorable Karsten Rasmussen at the Lane County Circuit Court from 2001 to 2002. In 2002 she began her law career as a public defender in Jackson County, Oregon where she defended misdemeanors, felonies, Measure 11, and murder offenses. In 2004 she began supervising and mentoring newer misdemeanor attorneys.
Ms. Fowler joined Veralrud & Fowler in 2005 as an associate and became a partner in 2008. She has been practicing criminal defense since 2002 and family law since 2008. She provides professional and compassionate legal representation to her clients, many of whom find themselves going through difficult and stressful situations. Her criminal defense practice includes Measure 11 defenses, including attempted murder and sex offenses, theft and robbery, shoplifting, hit and run, DUII (both alcohol and drug, and breath test refusal and diversion), driving while suspended, domestic assault, federal offenses, and juvenile offenses. Her family law practice includes divorce (including property division, custody, parenting time and child support, spousal support, separation), non-married custody proceedings, modifications, contempt, restraining orders and stalking orders.
Ms. Fowler is a member of the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Lane County Bar Association, and the Lane County Defense Consortium.

KIMBERLY TARDIE

Kim was born and raised right here in Lane County. She has been working as a legal assistant for 30 years and has worked for several different firms in Eugene and Springfield. She has been with Lindsay H. Fowler, PC for 15 years. She has 30-years of experience working in family law and 15 years in criminal defense.
Kim graduated with honors in June 2021 obtaining her Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies through Umpqua Community College. She became a committee member on the UCC Paralegal Advisory Committee and was then ask to teach a family law class. In 2023, she became an adjunct instructor and taught her first online family law class. She will continue teaching that class while also applying to be a licensed paralegal with the Oregon State Bar where she one day hopes to represent clients for uncontested, simple divorce
Being there for clients to answer questions, explain processes, and just listen when they need to be heard, is what she does best. Working together with Lindsay to create a successful and productive practice is her focus. This team is here for you. Kim not only handles the regular day-to-day functions of a busy law firm, she also helps in research, client meetings, and providing clients with information on their cases as quickly as she can. Emotions can be high and low when dealing with a legal problem. Helping a client understand and process those emotions is key. With being a mom and her personal and professional experience with the legal system, she can relate to her clients on many levels.
In her free time, Kim enjoys watching the Oregon Ducks, traveling with her husband to new places near and far, working in her yard, enjoying her pond and koi, and spending time with family and friends. Both Kim and Lindsay have the same love (maybe an addiction) for orchids and the color purple.
